An NCP is a designated expert who informs, advises and guides applicants on a European programme or a specific domain.

The local cell is the first contact in the institution. The NCP provides specialised expertise on a programme, a domain or a complex question.

The NCP can explain the rules, flag risks and advise the applicant. It does not give a final eligibility decision and does not write the proposal on behalf of the consortium.

Yes, by pointing you to relevant networks, events, tools and contacts. It cannot, however, guarantee that a consortium will be formed.

You do not have to start over. Under the “no wrong door” principle, your request will be forwarded to the right contact.
